The Thai Parliament, as the legislative body of the country, organized the event to declare its commitment to reducing national pollution levels, ultimately leading to carbon neutrality and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. To drive this effort forward, a Green Parliament Committee has been established to study and develop policies on pollution reduction, greenhouse gas management, and environmental friendliness. Additionally, the Parliament has created a Green Parliament Master Plan for 2025-2032, which aims to raise awareness and understanding of the Parliament's environmental initiatives among members, officials, the public, and all stakeholders.
