On February 7, 2023, TPBI Public Company Limited (TPBI) by Mr. Saksit Borrisuttanakul, Chief Marketing Officer, was the representative to receive the honorable mention "Thailand Green Design Awards 2023 (TGDA2023)” in the category of Resource Efficiency for the work “WonLoop Coffee Table Set” from Asst. Prof. Dr. Nikom Laemsak, Vice President for Innovation and Social Engagement, Kasetsart University at Chakkapan Pensiri Building, Kasetsart University, Bangkok.

The “WonLoop Coffee Table Set” is a product made from plastic waste and leftovers from the furniture industry. This started with clean, dry, and stretchable plastic that consumers donated to the "Won" project. The plastic wastes are sorted, washed, and recycled into PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic resins. What makes this special is that up to 30% of this PCR can be mixed with wood sawdust powder. Then eco-design added value to become "WonLoop Wooden Bar", which is an artificial wooden bar with oval cross-section and infinity cross-section (∞). They can be assembled in various ways. Therefore, WonLoop Wooden Bar can be created into variety of products and furniture. Moreover, when the product is obsoleted, it can also be recycled according to the circular economy principle. This product is also socially and environmentally friendly by reducing the problem of wood dust inhalation, reducing resource consumption, and reducing waste. One set of WonLoop Coffee Table can reduce plastic waste by equivalent to 2,628 plastic bags, or equivalent to 7.33 kg CO₂ reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from plastic waste landfills.

Apart from this, we also have several projects under development, and they are expected to gradually finish in the near future. These projects will help us to drive the creation of a circular economy that can effectively reduce the use of resources and the amount of plastic waste according to the concept of Think Circular.
