Chairman of Executive Committee, TPBI Public Company Limited participated in the Plastic Talk 2023 event.

On January 26, 2023, Mr. Somsak Borrisuttanakul, Chairman of Executive Committee, TPBI Public Company Limited, was invited to join a special discussion on the topic of “Carbon tax…A new treat to the plastic industry?” at the Plastic Talk 2023 event, organized by the Plastics Industry Club, The Federation of Thai Industries at Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit. Participants in the discussion were Dr. Kannika Thampanichvong, Senior Research Fellow, Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) and Dr. Natthakorn Kraikul, Vice President, Decarbonization COE, PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, moderated by Dr. Wit Sittivaekin.

Mr. Somsak shared his views and conveyed knowledge from direct experiences as a leader of TPBI Group, one of the leaders in the plastic packaging business and internationally recognized for more than 40 years, to participants from both public and private sectors in order to have clear understanding, be prepared, and be able to turn ‘the carbon tax’ from obstacles into business opportunities.
