"WON" project jointly supports "Green Campus Kickstart: Step One to Sustainability".

"WON" project by TPBI Public Company Limited jointly supported the “Green Campus Kickstart: Step One to Sustainability” activity which was organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, Silpakorn University's Sanam Chan Campus in Nakhon Pathom Province, on October 20, 2023. The project introduces a fresh concept aimed at raising environmental awareness among students to recognize the environmental issues arising from daily plastic waste. The project involves students properly separating plastic waste at home, collecting it, and delivering it by a specified deadline in exchange for earning better grades.

The event was graced by Assistant Professor Dr. Arunsri Leejeerajumnean, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, who gave the opening speech. Dr. Rapeerat Thanyawatpornkul, a special lecturer in the department and the project's initiator, provided a report on the initiative. Despite its simple event, the event featured a variety of activities and received cooperation from students in various faculties, who brought their separated plastic waste for collection. In total, over 500 kilograms of plastic waste were collected.

Dr. Rapeerat said, "This project isn't only solely about exchange trash for grades but also shifting students' behaviors by teaching them to separate plastic waste correctly and introducing them to the circular economy concept. It's surprising that students often don't realize how much plastic waste they generate daily. Moreover, more than 90% of students brought in more waste than the project goal, demonstrating their growing awareness of plastic waste production. We hope that students studying this subject will continue practicing proper waste management in the future."

“Won” which is a project focused on creating awareness of separating plastic waste, including being a destination for collecting stretchable plastic waste from all over the country, is proud to be a part of supporting this activity by giving premium grade rolled garbage bags as gifts to students who participated in the activity and organizing an exhibition booth to provide knowledge about stretchable plastic waste management, as well as collecting of stretchable plastic waste obtained from the activity to the recycling process so that it can be reused.
