Ms. Chamaiporn Uerpairojkit, Chief Executive Officer of TPBI Public Company Limited, received a trophy “The Real Impact Organization / Brand of the Year Award (Environment)” from the Real Impact Awards 2022 from Special Professor Tongthong Chandransu, former permanent secretary of the Prime Minister's Office and former Dean of the Faculty of Laws, Chulalongkorn University, at the meeting room 1-2, Department of Public Relations on June 7, 2023. This award is given to an organization with innovation or activities that can create a real impact on environmental promotion.
The inaugural Real Impact Awards 2022 aims to recognize organizations or individuals who prioritize the implementation of ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) concepts in their operations and can truly make an impact on society. In the selection process, the social listening tools are used to search for information from online social platforms to find outstanding innovation or activities from various organizations that have been recognized by the public, then screened by a group of qualified committees until they find the projects that meet all requirements. The search and selection period were from October 2021 to December 2021. Finally, the "Won" project of TPBI Public Company Limited is one of leading organizations that has been selected to receive the said award.
Ms. Chamaiporn said after receiving the award that “We at TPBI are honored to receive this award. We would like to thank Real Smart Co., Ltd., the organizer of the event, and to all the honorary committee members of the Real Impact Award 2022 for recognizing our efforts to make the environment better. We initiated the “Won” project in 2018, with the team working together to brainstorm that as we are in the plastic industry, what good things can we do to give back to society? From that day until today, it is 5 years that we have continued to raise public awareness of plastic waste sorting, especially stretchable plastic waste. Including collecting stretchable plastic waste to be recycled into PCR plastic pellets so that they can be brought back to be reused. I would like to thank all the team members for their hard work. Including various government and private sectors that have always supported the "Won" project. Today, we have over 400 stretchable plastic waste collection points across the country. Over 334 tons of stretchable plastic waste were collected, which is equivalent to saving over 290 tons of CO2 emissions or planting over 32,200 trees. Receiving this award is a good encouragement for us to strive to make our “Won” project even better.”
