May 19, 2023, at Living Hall, 3rd floor, Siam Paragon Shopping Center, Bangkok. Ms. Chamaiporn Uerpairojkit, Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Saksit Borrisuttanakul, Chief Marketing Officer, represented TPBI Public Company Limited in receiving a trophy and certificate of Thailand Green Design Awards 2023 (TGDA 2023) from Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University among distinguished guests from various agencies. TPBI has won 2 awards: the Green Honorary Awards from the "Won" project and the honorable mention in the category of resource efficiency for the work “WonLoop Coffee Table Set”.
Ms. Chamaiporn said, “TPBI is proud and honored to have been selected by the Thailand Green Design Awards 2023 committee to receive 2 awards, which reflects TPBI's commitment to running a business to be a part of creating a circular economy for a sustainable society and environment, according to our slogan "Think Circular, Think Sustainable". Moreover, thank you to the staff who have been working hard tirelessly. We know that being a pioneer in tackling the stretchable plastic waste problem is not easy. However, the “Won” project has received good feedback and cooperation from the public. Nowadays, we have more than 400 collection points nationwide. Collected over 334 tons of post-consumer stretchable plastic waste, which is equivalent to saving over 290 tons of CO2 emissions or planting over 32,200 trees.”
Mr. Saksit added that “The WonLoop Coffee Table Set is an innovation that has been further developed by mixing recycled plastic resin from the “Won” project with 30% wood sawdust to obtain a material with a similar texture to wood but stronger and waterproof. Then eco-designed and molded into the WonLoop Wooden Bar. It is an artificial wood bar with an oval-shaped cross section and infinity-shaped cross section. They can be used as either a main piece or a joint that can be assembled in various forms. Therefore, we can create various forms of products or furniture with no limitations. In addition, when the product is obsolete, it can also be recycled in accordance with the principles of the circular economy.”
