TPBI wins the Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2022 – “Outstanding Industry Award - Circular Economy”

Wednesday, October 5, 2022, Mr. Somsak Borrisuttanakul, Chairman of Executive Committee - TPBI Public Company Limited received the Prime Minister’s Industry award 2022 in category of “Outstanding Industry Award - Circular Economy” from Gen. Prayut Chan-ocha, The Prime Minister, at Santi Maitree Building, Government House.

Outstanding Industry Award is an award of the highest honor of the Thai industry which the Ministry of Industry has awarded to entrepreneurs with diligence, perseverance and excellence in various fields. This year is the first year that TPBI Public Company Limited has received the Outstanding Industry Award in the category of Circular Economy. This award is honored to the entrepreneur who has effectively applied circular economy principles in their organizations.

There are 6 main criteria of assessment including,

2) Innovation
3) Stewardship
4) Collaboration
5) Value Optimization
6) Transparency

TPBI’s top management have applied the circular economy concept to the organization in order to enhance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in three areas: Environmental, Social, and Economic as well as to increase the organization’s potential to utilize resources effectively. It was expected that this will lead to reducing the use of new raw materials, the amount of waste, and the amount of greenhouse gases. Finally, the results from continuous operations in the circular economy allowed TPBI to pass the assessment criteria in all categories and receive the Outstanding Industry Awards - Circular Economy.
