“Won” Shares Circular Economy Concepts, Highlighting BCG Model for Greenhouse Gas Reduction
On December 13, 2024, Mr. Saksit Borrisuttanakul, Chief Marketing Officer and representative TPBI and WON project manager, was honored to be a guest speaker under the course titled "Organizational Knowledge Development and Community Waste Management Based on the BCG Model to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions", organized by the Office of Environmental and Pollution Control Area 10 under Ministry of Natural Resourses and Environment.
In this session, Mr. Saksit presented on "Waste Management under the Circular Economy Concept: The WON Project Case Study" to an audience of 50 participants, including officials from regional environmental offices (SCP 1-16) and related agencies.
The lecture emphasized the importance of the Circular Economy and its application in communities. It detailed how the WON Project successfully added value to plastic waste by recycling it into new materials. Additionally, the session covered strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through sustainable activities such as implementing appropriate waste sorting systems in targeted areas and developing innovative projects eligible for greenhouse gas reduction certification.
Mr. Saksit also stressed the importance of fostering collaboration between public, private, and community networks in the target areas to enhance the efficiency of greenhouse gas reduction activities and extend the implementation of knowledge and innovations to various communities for practical use.
