WON to School Instills Waste Sorting and Recycling Awareness Among Students at Ban Charoensuk School
On February 19, 2025, the WON to School by WON project participated in the "Planting Environmental Awareness" academic open house event at Ban Charoensuk School, Moo 4, Wang Wa Subdistrict, Klaeng District, Rayong Province. The project focused on educating and instilling proper stretchable plastic waste management concepts in students to foster long-term environmentally friendly behaviors.
During the event, representatives from the WON project conducted activities on waste sorting and recycling, specifically focusing on stretchable plastic. They explained the different types of plastic waste, the correct sorting methods, and the benefits of recycling plastic for reuse. Additionally, a demonstration on the plastic recycling process was provided to give students hands-on learning experiences.
Students participated in engaging workshops that helped them understand the importance of reducing plastic waste and how to incorporate recycling into their daily lives. Activities included repurposing used plastic bags into new items, playing waste sorting games, and answering recycling-related quiz questions to further encourage participation and raise environmental awareness, prizes were awarded to students who correctly answered questions about waste sorting and recycling. This made learning more fun and interactive.
WON to School continues its mission of promoting environmental knowledge to young learners nationwide, aiming to inspire behavioral changes that support sustainability and lay the foundation for long-term plastic waste reduction.
